It is becoming one of the largest sectors of the global tourism market and has high future growth potential that contributes to positive social relationships and generates a lot of revenue. The paper describes the general characteristics and types of global youth tourism, with a special emphasis on the Serbian capital city as a destination for young people. The aim of the study is to overview youth tourism in Belgrade, as well as to highlight the potentials for its future development. Based on the collected data, it is noted that the potentials for the development of youth tourism in Belgrade are extremely high, but the organization of youth tourism is at a low level.
